You'd have to be a little dense to not see that DC didn't just "suddenly" come up with the movie tie-in idea right around the time Marvel made a billion off of the concept. You'd have to be dense to think a shared comic universe is something the MCU invented. Especially in a world where the DCAU existed. They didn't invent it, but that's not my argument. DC didn't suddenly shift their movie strategy without at all thinking about how MCU was a thing. They wanted part of the action.
