No. The new show tries to be funny, but it's hit or miss. Most of the unintentional hilarity comes from how intentionally diverse they tried to make the cast. At this rate, I expect next season will include a hermaphroditic princess in a wheelchair.

also zeus has no idea what the fuck he is talking about as usual

He claims while simultaneously over-praising the show.

The rainbow of pointlessly diversity is just flat-out ridiculous.

It's not pointless.
It's a show that young kids can watch that shows them variety.

This goes a lot further than variety and you know it. It's an overly contrived attempt to be as diverse as possible, most likely to virtue-signal to Millennial parents.

The animation quality is a little low and there are some pretty obvious animation errors at times. But I'm on episode 3 and the story and action is ok, so I'll watch the rest of the season

If by action you mean fight scenes, they tend to be pretty bad. Even some of the sites that heaped praise onto the show complained about the fight scenes.

Glad to hear it's following in the footsteps of the original.

Kek. The original was a low-budget cash grab to sell toys, though. What's the new show's excuse?
