His RM2 gives him Last Stand and Reraise at the start of battle, which I can only think of being useful against an enemy with a conditional OHKO attack (like it targets highest HP member or member in the first slot, something like that). If you get his LM that gives a chance of W-cast darkness I would consider it though, as he does have a couple darkDMG% increases in the LD.
