In the picture I just posted I only remember two of the characters. I barely know who the little girl is, but I have no clue about the woman. Most of the series is fairly standard (but good) modern fantasy action. The characters have good interactions, the fights are fun, and the villains are solid. IIRC, its mostly episodic, but theres a bigger story slowly building in the background. Around halfway through the series, that story takes over, and the show gets much better. Everything turns darker than before, building up to one of the greatest endings in any anime. Honestly, the ending is pretty much the entire reason the show is this high. I cried a lot when I watched it Though at least one of the endings for anime Ive yet to rank made me cry more, maybe two of them? Anyway, its awesome and perfect and I loved it.
