Im surprised people buy games they dont play. Normally, when I buy a game, I at least play it within days. And normally, the day I get it...

Well, adulthood sometimes sucks.

I've bought plenty of games it took me a long time to get to, buy I always get to them. Only exceptions I can think of is on the 360 I bought banjo kazooie and re4 and never got past the first hour in. Same with manhunt on PS4 but I do plan to get around to it as I've never beat it unlike the two on 360

Re4 just didn't age well imo. And with banjo I had been browsing games drunk and it struck me right in my nostalgia

I want to get to them eventually (most of them anyway), but I have a pretty massive backlog.

Im an adult and have only Sunday off. And not every Sunday as I have a second job. I still have time to play every game Ibe bought. I just dont buy 1000 games that I dont think Ill play because they were 99 each... Ill buy games on sale when I see them. But then I make sure to play them... Even a little. Then Ill either finish it. Or finish the other game I started and finish the new one after...

Honestly, sales were a part of it -- although I'm never paying just 99-cents because this isn't Steam -- and, in those cases, I'm buying a bunch at a time where I can't reasonably expect to play everything. I picked up the vanilla version of Skyrim (among other things) from a Sears clearance bin, right around the time I had ordered -- but not yet received -- Pokemon Moon (or maybe Pokemon Y? Can't remember). I wound up playing Skyrim for several months thereafter.

For the most part, I like being able to devote sufficient time and attention to games (and many tv shows/movies) so I'll delay until I have a chunk of time to spend.
