Here we have Mario, the face, icon, and savior of gaming itself, with over 30 years of venerable history. There is no one out there who is aware of video games and who does not recognize our favorite Italian plumber. His impressive history include industry-shaking acclaimed titles: Super Mario Bros, which invented scrolling screens; Mario 64, which brought full 3-D platforming. And the same history includes the pinnacle of his genre released just last year: Mary Odyssey. Yet somehow here we are: He is losing to a generic tsundere waifu from last year's walking simulator.
