I admit the Hentai subreddits being a rally source was something totally unexpected, but that's just a new dimension in the same way you might not anticipate Solid Shit or Zero Suit Samus in the match pic until the night before the match.

Besides, there's no proof this actually changed the outcome. Zelda was close even without it...and sorry to break it to you but rallies have likely played a role in every close match in history. Particularly stuff like Snake/Seph 2006 where Snake dominated the final update to win, when on the previous update there were only two votes in it iirc. 100% Snake swung that with a rally.

I mean that's different to ~1500 reddit thread upvotes(combined over ten threads) And surely if you're up voting a thread you're following thru on a Zelda vote. Otherwise you'd down vote or ignore
