It made sense when the constitution was created, at a time where there was a threat that the people we just beat would come and try to claim us again. Its not the same today. The excuse against the Government being more powerful today is you really think theyd use powerful weapons and stuff against civilians?!...there are millions of us. If it ever got to the point where people needed to use physical force like that as a whole, not just a handful of crazies, You really think the government wouldnt sacrifice a few of us to hold power and instill fear? B-but...the military will side with us!...ok if you believe that, even more reason for them to use the heavy stuff..theyd have no one on the ground. Its literally what we do in almost every war were in. Civilian casualties are always a thing. They dont care as long they get the point across.
