This isn't going to be a situation in which there are two halves of a population voting for different people. That makes your point even more absurd then. How? Because now you're suggesting people take on both the government (mind you a government from a nightmare scenario that would never happen in the U.S. because there's no one person in the government that's allowed to do whatever the hell they want) and the more than half of the population that voted them in. I suggest you look up how dictators come into power in democratic governments.
