| Topic | Even though I liked TFA and TLJ I dislike the overall direction of the sequels. |
| Romulox28 12/09/18 11:13:04 PM #35: | Agreed 100% with @Hairistotle on the empty feeling I know it sounds dumb, but I've been a star wars fan for my whole life, grew up watching the movies with my dad, etc. So a lot was riding on this. TFA was weak but it at least had that hype of being the first SW movie in like a decade so I gave it a pass. TLJ on the other hand ruined my interest in the franchise in it's current state. Besides the film shit like pacing and dialogue, my biggest complaints were the lack of scale, world building, overall imagination, and that I never was given a real reason to like or care about any characters besides that they are written as the heroes. When I left the theater it wasn't like i watched a bad star wars movie, it felt like some other bad movie I would have never seen if it didn't have tar wars in the title. --- ...
