It's mods acting like manchildren and a bunch of weird modpets feeding into it
yeah they say you can ask about moderations on there but can you really? geez
What most people don't seem to realize is that when moderation are questioned in a civil manner, it's almost always explained quite nicely.
Since most of the topics there are from known trolls/shitposters, they're dismissed and usually locked.
It may seem weird that a topic is nearly immediately locked, but remember that mods can see your entire posting history, so they'll know and act upon things that regular users simply don't see, so to us it looks like theyre being dicks.
Combine that with the fact that many people on this site are pathetic eenough to see forum moderators as some sort of power figure and either attempt to disprove/argue with them, and the entire situation is beyond stupid (hell, look at some of the posts ittfor example).
If you want to ask a question there, I say go for it. Don't be a shithead, and you'll have nothing to worry about.
This. I have asked clarification on several moderations over the years and always got a civil response by the mods there. The regular posters are a different matter with some being just awful. Usually those that tend to have topics locked/are disliked by mods are those that think their moderation is unfair, but it turns out to be the fairest of nexts 99% of the time. ---
