We don't have kids and have cats and dogs, and usually go to relatives for the actual holiday. Wife wanted one this year though, so we got a black artificial tree. We put it up a few days after Thanksgiving, it looks pretty nice. Cats have not messed with it as much as I thought they would, lately they have been batting at some of the balls on the lower part of the tree and one of them threw up on the tree skirt. ...
