Raka_Putra 12/18/18 10:53:15 PM #116: | 16. Seize the Day From Newsies Nominated by Maniac64 I really like the message of this song. "You're still our brothers, and we will fight for you" is a great message. The notes are joyful, boyish, cheery, while still defiant. It's very rousing. Alan Menken is a treasure. Newsies have got some great crowd songs (namely King of New York and Carrying the Banner) and I just can't decide which one I like the most. Though I think i like Carrying the Banner a bit better because I find the beginning part better partially because it shows more individual Newsies' personalities. Riesling I really love Dave's solo in the beginning and I love the mood of the whole song. the 'you're still our brother' part also touches me so much, especially because I'm watching this during my college days where people do stupid things to get noticed so they can make a change. I wish one day someone does a flashmob with this instead of doing a common strike. 15. Unlikely Lovers From Falsettos Nominated by KBM Another one with dead link. I'm very surprised. I haven't truly experienced Falsettos, but I find myself heartbroken. This is a good piece of music it makes me feel...things. Beautiful and sad but not delivered in the generic sappy melody. It's actually somewhat cheerful, as the four friends try to brace themselves for the inevitable. --- Fuhlt nicht durch dich Sarastro Todesschmerzen, So bist du meine Tochter nimmermehr-- eeeeeeeeeeeeeeehr. ...
