Going back to Promised Neverland ep1 because I was re-reading some of this topic and saw people talk about this elsewhere...

edit: sadly I feel like things will probably not be all that smart and strategic. it's gonna be more like code geass where we are told the characters are smart and sometimes get to see them do cool things. the main reason I believe this is because when the monsters smelled them hiding under the truck they were somehow able to disappear despite having no route they could have used to escape... but were also dumb enough to leave evidence behind that they had been there...
I actually felt like they did this on purpose? Like, they heard the monster saying it smelled something, so they left the bunny behind and ran to make it think it was the bunny it was smelling. If they'd taken the bunny with them the monster would've gone after them and caught them. I dunno, that was just my interpretation. ---
