I didn't even notice any subpar animation, for the record.

Though, this did inspire to try and come up with examples of shows where I disliked the visuals, and the list included a grand total of 2 shows that were released in the last decade and not many more from before that. So, this just really really is not something I'm actively watching for at all when I'm watching anime.

(For the record, the two shows were Kids on the Slope and K Project)

Kinda funny you didn't notice any subpar animation, since most viewers said one episode looked way better than the others.

Also with Kids on the Slope are you talking about art style or animation because those are very different things and the instrument animation in Slope was pretty freaking amazing.
