I would require a fresh STD test from any clients.
I mean, this doesn't matter much. Especially since they could have sex with someone after the test. Those take time, I think. Well, certain ones do...
Sadly I have no experience with STD tests, I thought they had over the counter ones you could take on the spot. If not....I guess protection + a test from a doctor from x days before the appointment (where x is how long it takes to get results back) would work.
I wouldn't just be protecting myself, but any other clients as well, I couldn't sleep with another person until I knew for sure I was clean.
Even with the testing, I would probably wait how ever long it takes to ensure I was clean again before seeing another client. That would certainly increase the cost, but I could always work another job etc in the meantime and just have sex with people twice a week or something (or just have a few clients that I see multiple times within the time frame since there would be no additional risk, and it would make it less likely for the client to go see someone else.

Some test could take up to 1-2 weeks to get back. Most come back in a shorter amount of time, I believe. You would be doing a client like maybe twice a month, if that... But its not just that. People can still have sex after taking the test. They shouldnt, if theyre taking the test to show you theyre clean. But they could. And thats where the problem is. Even if they get tested and prove to you theyre clean, they may not be... Do I think everyone would do this? No. But could they? Absolutely...
Ack, that would make things seriously hard (and not in a good way!!).
The problem isn't just possibly getting an STD yourself, but also that you wouldn't know if you were giving one to clients. I guess using protection would be a must, since that is fairly safe. Maybe technology would get better in this area if it was legal etc and people focused on it.
Also, I could see clients and use toys etc on them:) Between that and using protection etc, I could probably make it work, especially if I just had a short list of clients that I trusted etc, and explained my rules (which is no sex with others, or if they do, that they need to get tested and wait the full time before seeing me again to ensure they are clean).
Those rules would be for their protection as well as my other clients.
Now I just need a pimp (oh and a sex change potions and potion of youth!).
Protections would probably be the best. Though, they could end up making pills to not catch an STD/STI like they did for HIV. Or even a vaccine of some sort. And that would basically mean you were good to go whether they had something or not. The client thing is also a possibility. Im sure thats not too unusual for certain escorts... ---
