At that point, If they went back to when they took the stones and returned them, that would then create timeline C. There would be a version where the stones weren't returned and a version where they were. But if they just go back to timeline B to begin with, then in timeline B there was never a timeline where they weren't returned, so that's just timeline B's normal progression.
