I think what people need to remember is that Daenerys is still only in her very early 20s with all of her character building years being when she is young. Given what she has gone through during those years coupled with her age and not knowing any different, it's very easy to see why she snapped. Yeah not great if you are a fan of her but it's pretty understandable. I think she is supposed to be maybe what? 23? In the books shes younger than that too
