I don't follow the Lucy complaints... her character is cartoonish and cheesy but it fits the mood of the movie fine. She definitely posed and spoke like you would expect a Pokemon character to do. It's just understandable in the game, and it turns out mildly annoying in real life. I mean just imagine someone walks up to you, strikes a post and aggressively insists that you help them get to the bottom of a mystery. I would laugh because the way in which she did it was funny.
