And you can't really hate him for it. He gives us one of the most iconic performances of the decade--maybe even beyond that--as a character that I still can't believe is him. I mean, look at this: https://imgur.com/YhbhVB7 It blows my mind that this was the same dude: https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/fargo/images/3/3a/Billy_bob_thornton.jpg The story is fairly cliched (up until the bloody climax, at least), but that doesn't matter. It's a perfectly executed boy-befriends-monster-who-really-isn't-one tale that is wholly satisfying to watch.
