Nelson_Mandela 05/16/19 12:17:03 PM #73: | #234. 28 Days Later... https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/e4/28_days_later.jpg Dir: Danny Boyle Genre: Horror Year: 2002 I have a soft spot for post-apocalyptic movies. Zombies themselves don't do much for me, but if they can set the foundation for good world-building for life after a cataclysm, then I am all in. And, for me, 28 Days Later does this the best of all the zombie films*. 28 Days Later basically restarted the genre that exploded into what it is today. The game-changer, of course, is that the zombies are no longer the slow, lumbering corpses of the Romero films. They are now fast and aggressive, which--done properly--makes for a much more tense and satisfying film experience. This is just such a great movie for anyone without genre fatigue. *I have never seen the original Dawn of the Dead or Night of the Living Dead! --- "A more mature answer than I expected."~ Jakyl25 "Sephy's point is right."~ Inviso ...
