| Haste_2 05/17/19 11:37:24 PM #15: | Deltarune - Chaos King... NWO starts off super awesome (I dig whenever the violin plays on top of everything else) but I don't like the vocal melodies as much. They come across as overly dramatic (too many "high" notes). I like it overall, but Chaos King is just... wicked cool! :45 - 1:08 is my favorite part... especially with how the tonic goes from major to minor, because it makes the minor resolution that much better. Etrian Odyssey V - The End of the Raging Waves - I enjoy the jazziness of Battle, with the walking bass and the swinging melodies. It's kind of like mixing jazz with the stereotypical Nintendo style. I prefer End of the Raging Waves, though. The guitar melody is epic. I enjoy when it stays on the 5th while the harmony changes. I really love the violin melody at :41 - 1:00, when combined with the way the harmony moves up half-steps "sort of" cycling through fifths, but most especially when it goes from the A minor to the B-flat before it ends on the temporary modulation to G major. Really cool. The sound mixing isn't the greatest, though, I'll admit... still, I love it overall! --- Congrats to Advokaiser on pwning me in CBX! ... Copied to Clipboard! |
