I looked up "top songs of 2018" and I heard of 2 of them: "This is America" and "Better Now."

"Better Now" is an awful song in every conceivable way, shape, and form. There's no reason this song should exist. Or this artist for having a contract.

"This is America" is mediocre. It was in the news and only famous for the shock value of the video.

2018 was not a good year for music at all. I'm sure this year is shaping up to be just as much of a crapfest

Theres more music out there than top 40 hits (though its not all bad). 2018 had albums like Wanderer, Tranquility Bass Hotel and Casino, Ye, Kids see Ghosts, Daytona, POST-, Twin Fantasy, Pray for the Wicked, 7, In a Poem Unlimited, Astroworld, A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships, Lush, Low, Love in the Time of Email, and Little Dark Age.

And those are just the really popular ones off the top of my head.
