Even if not for you, for others. By that, if it was raining or the roads were covered in ice, someone car could slip and hit you. So, not even your own fault. Having a cell phone would allow you to call for help. And then you could safely wait in your car for help. Whether its a tow to a car shop or just back home.


How far are we willing to stretch this? What's next, an earthquake on the east coast or a meteor strike? I mean these situations are so unlikely. By your guys logic I could be standing in my front yard and get bit by a snake unless I have one of those $100 a month magic boxes that prevent all bad situations. Reminds me of that Simps ep where Homer buys the rock that keeps bears away.
