It's that, for one of the largest movies ever, it's strange no one ever talks about it.

And the technology and shit was mostly Lucas's ILM, which has always been at the forefront of movie magic and has a monopoly. 3D also didn't take off like it was supposed to and kind of fell off 2-3 years after Avatar.

But that's exactly what's happened. Disney announced Avatar 2-5 for 2021, 2023, 2025 and 2027


Id wager if avatar did release sequels straight after the first one, people will keep talking about it

Like what marvel and dc do, pump out movies and be the talk of society in a constant fashion

Also it was Weta more so than ilm
