Ive seen someone throw away a perfectly good 50 inch tv before. They had money to spare though and it was because their grandson (living with them) had orded pay per view open on their card without permission. It was thr tv in his room.

That is so fucking stupid. Just give it away. That's just as bad as the people who destroy something like their kids PS4 instead of selling it.

This was like early 2000s man. Kids were lucky if their parents even gave them a cell phone

My dad would have definitely given me a cell phone back then if I asked.

Damn; this actually tops my finding an Xbox 360 in a dumpster.

When my niece was moving out of her dorm recently, there were a lot of students throwing away electronics. One guy tossed a pretty big TV; I don't know if it was working before, but after the way he threw it I doubt it would have worked afterward.

Yeah I got a lot of good shit that way before. I still have a clay ash tray I got in like 2003 because of it.

Not a lot of kids/teens I knew had cellphones back then. Just wasnt something parents thought about since the things literally didnt exist when they where younger. (Well I guess the brick cellphones came out in their teens) Plus there was that whole stereotype of a teen running up the phone bill not helping matters I suppose.
