Pfft.

Although... In some ways I do look younger than my age. I'm forever being mistaken for someone in my 20s, though I'm actually 33 now. It's one of the very few positive aspects of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome: the collagen in my skin is as defective as that in the rest of my body, so my skin doesn't age quite in the same way or at the same speed as most people's.

I think the most "off" guess of my age that I've had since becoming an adult was the guy soliciting donations for UNICEF who wanted to check that I was 18 - 3 weeks before my 31st birthday. I choked a little at that!

As for protecting my skin... Eh, not as much as I could. My dietary habits are a bit of a mess because I don't have full control of them - I have to have caregivers come in & help me cook meals, & they don't get trained in doing anything other than microwaving ready meals, which can get pretty frustrating as food goes.
