Why are African Americans over-represented in crime statistics? Why are they more likely to get convicted, serve longer terms, and are not afforded the same respect with defense tactics, particularly "stand your ground."? Why are the nations wealthiest neighbourhoods predominantly white? Why are minorites accepted into college at lower rates? Why do they graduate at lower rates? Just because a specific subset of people commit more crimes than average doesnt mean that the system is designed for that subset to commit more crimes... Oh, so you are saying black people are more likely to be criminals. That is false and racist. Look at a global picture and you will not see more black criminals. By your logic, Americans would be considered the most criminal demographic in the entire world since they have the most "criminals" incarcerated. No, you just said that. I didnt say anything of the sort. Just because you choose a subset that promotes your ideologies doesnt even make that subset valid. Heres a shocker for you: Only those concerned about race are racists! Race doesnt even exist anymore for the most part. Caucasians are no longer from the Caucasus, African-Americans are not from Africa or sometimes even America, and Hispanics were never from Hispaniola. Theres too much moving around and a lot of mixing together of DNA that dividing people by race is what is racist. People are in jail. Why? Maybe because they committed crimes? If theres too many in jail, like the enormous numbers in American prisons, maybe a criminal reform is merited, but one that is blind to race and doesnt just let people off because they are disenfranchised. --- Que sera, sera.
