I eat the entire apple. The core won't move out of my way, and I won't go around it, so I go right through it.

What about the top cavity part? I'm afraid to eat that because I think it's hard to clean.

"God made dirt, dirt won't hurt."

But pesticides?

A little bit won't hurt according to the FDA (https://www.epa.gov/safepestcontrol/food-and-pesticides).

However, the United States government doesn't always have our best interests at heart, so I'm not treating it as fact. I do know that pesticides are pulled from the market due to safety concerns. My dad has been using pesticides for 40+ years (exterminator with a commercial applicator's license), and he has seen pesticides taken off the market due to safety concerns (the most well-known being DDT). Also, with a dad who has been using pesticides for that length of time (and checked by his doctor for levels in his blood), I'm not too worried. Granted, he wasn't eating the pesticides, so that point may be moot. XD

I still wash my apples, though. Who knows who touched it and where their hands have been. ;)
