It's very well regarded here and elsewhere by most (won B8 Anime of the Year), but I don't think it retained for as many people as it did for me. You can only recommend so many shows, you have to prioritize if you want people to listen. It's kind of like why I gave up on recommending Eureka Seven a long time ago even though it's second or maybe #1 favorite anime depending on the day you ask me: just isn't something people are as likely to listen to me about, and I'd rather recommend something people might actually follow through on. --- ...
