Carol Danvers was a joke for 90% of her history in the comics. she did not even become Captain Marvel until 2012. I think that lots of people assume she's always been Captain Marvel and always been a huge character in the comics. but that is not true. she only very recently blew up. and it's all artificial. most comic readers cant' stand her and marvel's been fighting them over it for years. they keep trying to force her to be popular. maybe it will finally work, with the casual movie fans. but quit pretending like shes so important. or that people who don't like her only hate her cause of "femenism" that is not it. Marvel has a ton of cool female heroes that are more beloved than Carol Danvers
