Even if they had built more optimally to win now, the Mets' atrocious luck would have ruined it anyway. Either way, pretty disastrous loss. As for the Yankees, hopefully they can take 3 out of 4 from the Red Sox this weekend. Would be nice if the Rays were their only major threat in the AL East.
