I mean he's the less effective of the two types of tanks for SBR in that he gets def boost rather than damage reduction, but it is a 130% boost so you aren't going to find much better. Coupling that with the dmg reduction items like icarus/whis I do believe he can tank really well during those turns. Also gets a bit extra assuming you're pairing him on rotation with STR Toppo because toppo gives another 35% boost on top of that, and also allows jiren to hit soooo much harder.

A tip I'd like to share in case it's helpful, esp since you were of the mindset to use AGL Whis to fully heal each battle, I actually found it more helpful to try and end a battle under half health so that when you start the next one, you get UI Goku to transform right from the start if you get him on the starting 3.
