For both its highs and lows, Danny Boyle and co. really bottled the essence of what (I imagine) England was like at this time for a certain generation. Between the drugs and the music, the fuck-it-all attitude is really heightened over the course of the film. I'm sure it means more to British people than me, but the final monologue ("The job, the family, the washing machine, the fancy car...") really resonated me in my late teens/early 20s, and it's something that I try to periodically rewatch to keep me on the level. --- "A more mature answer than I expected."~ Jakyl25 "Sephy's point is right."~ Inviso ...
