I think that's a bit of an overstatement. It didn't even place in the top 200 of the most recent Sight and Sound poll (which is the biggest film poll I can think of), nor is it in the top 100 on They Shoot Pictures, a website which compiles all-time lists. I wouldn't consider those "traditional."
