Milkyway's use of noise like the rainstick and various shakers and whatever it is that is making noise like animals is really cool, it kinda makes up for the fact that the song doesn't actually... do anything at all. Makes sense since it's a victory theme and all. Slag Toccata is like one of the most un-Atelier songs in the franchise, it somehow manages to sound completely generic in almost every way. Goes on for way longer than it really should. Milkyway doesn't have much substance, but it's still interesting and unique.

Gnome is WACKY because its one of the few Achiwa battle songs that I feel like can't be linked exactly stylistically to another song he composed!! You got the obvious obvious stuff like Fulcrum-Scorpio-Gemini Wing or Nefertiti-Alcyone, Arcturus with.... well, we'll get to that one once we get to it... Usually you can tie songs by general structure and general instrumentation, but I don't think anything else really shares this epic, slow tense tune with the Eastern-style instrumentation, and especially that sick Eastern Guitar at 1:56 that I wish Achiwa used more!! I guess the closest is like.... that its an Eastern-style Loki? All of the "closest" things I can find/think of are way more upbeat with way more percussion, like Albireo. Anyway yeah, this songs unique and I appreciate that a lot even if it's on the "not really my thing" side of Achiwa. Cheeks Stained by the Color of the Setting Sun is verOH THERES THAT RAIN STICK AGAIN very chill, a sit-back-and-relax kinda song but these kinda songs all just blend together for me so obviously Gnome is the one that's gonna stick out
