Match 1: As I mentioned last round, normally when a song has more than 30 or 40 seconds of intro, it already dragged on for a bit much. Therefore, having 2 and a half minutes of build-up and still being worth the wait is something extraordinary, in every sense of the word. That's why I like I&E so much. Maybe not as much as many other songs in the contest, but this one delivers, and it does it good. Having it reaching retirement definitely made me appreciate it a lot more, and I didn't notice up until this round that the whole song not only get progressively better, but also progressively (and quite appropriately) louder. Both songs have a very appropriate style for these heights... kind of. There have been better matches at this point of the competition in past VGMCs, but these songs have sort of the same weaknesses and high points, only at different times of the song; I&E gets progressively better and better despite a weird (but effective) build-up, while Revenger has many ups and downs, and the ups aren't enough (both in quality and in quantity) to compete properly. Tiebreaker: So I didn't have much time to talk about this particular match the last time, but I don't think there's much to say other than both songs being superbly executed, but Autumn having a better sound and feel overall. It's definitely not as good as Rain of Blossoms, but the style is very similar and that's nice. I was feeling kind of guilty for not rooting enough for Yesterday's Opponents, but Autumn really is better to me. It's entirely up to tastes, though.
