Doctor Frankenstein Rating: 90/100 I'm kind of merging several versions of the character into one here, but I have to point to Penny Dreadful's depiction of the character as an especially moving, heavy rendition of the character that really sums up all of the vices of humanity and science and throws them at the weak-willed but brilliant scientist character. It's a character that I would ruminate on after the show ended quite frequently. Something in the character in almost every medium and rendition is just so accessible to me. Whether it's a Hammer classic or the Shelley novel, I've really grown to be a fan. But Penny Dreadful really pushes the character into that elite status for me. --- "It is too easy being monsters.
