His sweet innocence is a welcome tonic to the jaded cynicism of both South Park and the world at large. One of the most underrated moments of the entire series is when Butters drags Eric back to the bus when the class visits Frontier Village; his pure, focused energy is all devoted to not angering "Teacher", and it really stands as a unique attitude in comparison to the characters who either question everything or exploit anything. --- "It is too easy being monsters.
