I've seen enough cases to know that there are a lot of not-so-secret scumbag celebrities, but I also know that there are a lot of crazy SJWs that just straight up hate men and lie to benefit their cause. The majority of anime is adapted from manga or some other source. The original creator in those cases would be the manga author, who occasionally does get input on casting, but it's far from the norm.
