epic store is a bigger positive for the industry than your whining ever will be.

In what way
"Game developers get more money!"
They get enough as it is if the game is selling well
If it isn't - they can fuck off

I would actually say getting rid of trash IS a bigger positive for the industry

1. Get rid of a monopoly forcing steam to actually compete with someone. Likely will lead to increases in steams quality as well as a larger cut for developers
2. Larger cut for developers mean they can either make more games, better games, or sell their games for cheaper. It's not going to be universal some companies will just take the added money, but someone had an example already of a company that sells the game cheaper on epic. Companies will need to rely on micro-transactions less.
3. If some large companies use this as an opportunity to have better pricing models due to this it could potentially pressure other large companies to make changes.
4. Potential for companies to use their added income to hire more staff, increasing quality of games further.

Some of these won't happen universally. Some companies will just take the added profits and run. But remember that while the stores are competing against each other, individual games compete against each as well, so with more flexibility to compete on pricing you may see gains in those areas.

I can't counter what you say with logic
But knowing human nature, I believe in the "Some companies will just take the added profits and run" the most
