A traditional watch is purely a style accessory at this point. If you like it that's cool, but I definitely don't see a need to wear one

I wear a fit bit watch that buzzes updates I want from my phone like texts and calls and certain apps(which I never notice on my phone). If I didn't get function that I find value in beyond telling the time (which my phone does already if I really need it), I wouldn't bother with it.

Not sure why Zen feels so strongly about a watch not being any sort of burden. I get used to wearing it but it's an inconvenience to have it on at times, like when I'm typing or cooking. My fit bit also has benefits when sleeping by tracking how much time I actually spend asleep, my dad actually uses his specifically for that purpose, but personally I love the feeling of freedom my wrist feels when I take it off at night.
