I generally dont read for time balance issues as the rare book that does grab my attention is usually pretty long. This does have one benefit imo though. The less you do of something the more you enjoy it or rather the less critical you are of the particular entry you are consuming. As for video games thats my main hobby im quick to jump on whenever I'm in thr mood. Tv I only pick a handful of shows I keep up with so my time isnt dominated by it. So a few hours a week on that while the shows im interested in are in season.
