It's kind of a half assed way to ask someone out. Just ask her out. Disregard the whole "don't ask her out at work" mentality because unless you have a good chance of seeing her outside of work, you will never get the opportunity. I guarantee there are plenty of relationships that started by someone being asked out at their job that otherwise would have never formed.
