If the left didnt say dont hate these people, everything would be a whole lot better is a fucking stupid take.

If that's where it stopped we wouldn't have the problem. It's moved into demanding representation in everything and complaining if something is too hetero normative. Adding new genders and pronouns and being so hard line about it people get fearful of what will happen if they misgender someone also isn't winning people over either. Nor is trying to make examples of any business the express their religious belief to not approve of it.

It's moved past live and let live.

This post reeks of why is there no straight pride.

Nothing is being taken away from you. Just fucking accept people who arent hurting you.

Actually is was a moment of seeing how often progressive tactics line up with habbits of an emotional abuser.

Disregard of the feelings and fears of another is a big one.
Lashing out at disagreement
Making demands without regard to others wishes or well being
Public humiliation
purposeful pushing of buttons
blaming you for their bad behavior
demanding respect

I looked in the mirror, asked what we've become and had to take a step back and see that there's a line crossed in trying to get what you think you deserve that once crossed drives people away. If we don't like being dehumanized, they won't respond any better to it.

Stop dehumanizing people for dehumanizing people is such a weird take. People spouting shitty views getting told that theyre being shitty for what they say and do is not the same as people trying to live getting told that theyre being shitty for existing.

There is a way to not tell them that they are being awful people to their face. You can educate people without it turning into a shouting match. If you dehumanize people who you felt dehumanized you then you're only making a bigger fire. Sometimes being just a tad bit tolerant of views you find to be awful can help those people move beyond those views in the future.

There is a difference between calmly asserting yourself and shouting at someone for being a bigot. I'm not sure why anyone would think the latter really improves anything. Name calling, even correct name calling, typically doesn't get you too far.

Don't respond to bigotry by becoming a radical.
