When I was a retail manager, I discovered one of my new employees was homeless, going behind the building and sleeping there at night, in the grass. I would have never guessed interviewing him, he had clean clothes on, was dressed properly, had a resume.

So I offered to let him crash on my couch until he got back on his feet, I was single living in an apartment by myself. The girl who had been giving him rides to and from places while he was unemployed came by one day just to visit, he introduced me, and she turned out to eventually be my wife of 15 years.

He wound up marrying her sister, having 4 kids with her, which are now my nieces and nephews.
