The idea of a family member losing their job and being homeless makes me uncomfortable. The idea of a friend putting themselves into debt for something I believe is a cosmetic surgery makes me uncomfortable.

I support the people. I love the people. And even if I didnt, as Americans, we have rights. Im just uncomfortable with it. It doesnt help me understand anything by saying that I'm "likely a bigot". Dont divide.

10 years ago two men getting married made someone like you uncomfortable.
20 years ago two women sharing a kiss made someone like you uncomfortable.
50 years ago a black man and a white woman holding hands made someone like you uncomfortable.
100 years ago a catholic and a protestant being joined in wedlock made someone like you uncomfortable.

i'm not calling you a bigot for expressing "discomfort" at something but you ought to recognize your discomfort as being part of a historical pattern which is not good.

Look, Im not interested in this anymore. Your chance to make a point was lost. This is what some people in this thread are talking about. I dont respect your thoughts on the matter as I did entering this topic. Im not alone in feeling alienated when trying to discuss things. I said nothing offensive. I shared my feelings. Your response was inflammatory. Dont work against the good name of so many brave people. Responses like that will NEVER achieve anything.
