How is the federal government bailing out banks any different than the government bailing out the student debt of our nation's young professionals? Students wanted an education, to pursue a career, to make a stable living. They are struggling because of forever increasing tuition rates and steep interest rates on loans.

we need banks because they employ people and provide capitol for business

useless degree holders are literally just a money pit, calling them "professionals" is laughably weak, they're more under qualified then people who are self taught in most instances

the people failed on their investmants in property, the banks couldn't get the money back so it caused a bubble and property lost all of its value from that
because of predatory lending giving people houses that shouldnt have them, and people's marriages breaking up obviously, people losing their job unable to pay their mortgage

there is no one to bail out with college degrees, they have all the time in the world to pay back they just choose not to because they live a lavish lifestyle, my brother makes tons of money and just paid his back almost 15 years later, it wasn't expensive he just simply never put money towards it opting to live elsewhere

the solution to this is the same solution to housing
let the predatory lenders, the high school people saying you need college and the college admins, pay the price, not the tax payer
I'm sure the colleges aren't ever going to run out of money, they practically ship people here just to pay their fees
