Tom wasn't sold on Red being scum until the "magic trick." And even then it was how Chris and Red responded to each other after the trick not the trick itself. What you're referring to in D1 is actually me catching Red in what I thought was a scum tell. I thought it would be relevant to Tom since I caught Red in a similar scum tell last game having to do with the two of us. Tom was also scum with Red that game. I wanted his opinion. Tom was curious, but clearly not 100% sold.
Do you read it differently than that?
