During his short time there he emerged as the lone survivor as he was forced to fight to survive on the very edge of life during which his hidden powers of gaining great physical attributes such as enhanced strength and speed using electromagnetic fields suddenly manifested. Ever since then he fought a running battle as a refugee in a hostile world during the remainder of the war and did not know much peace until it finally ended and was able to marry a fellow survivor he met as a child.
